Epiphone planning to kill Elitist line?

Epiphone planning to kill Elitist line?

I noticed that they are starting to offere many of their guitars in only
the natural finish having discontinued the vintage sunburts for most of
their hollow and semi-hollow models.

as MF is blowing out Epis. including the Elitist line. It
never made sense to me. why come out with a MIK line that is not that
far away $ wise from the lower end Gibbies.

They are MIJ. I had an Elitist LP Studio for about a day. Amazing guitar.
$650 including a high quality case. It came damaged from MF (BIG surprise)
after I had waited a month for it to be special ordered. I couldn't get a replacement because MF had just stopped carrying that
model.

That guitar was substantially better than anything Epiphone makes in China
or Korea. To my hands. eyes and ears it was just as good as any Gibson LP
Studio. and I've played many in local shops...only half the price. If I
could find a used White Elitist LP Studio.

Your opinion isnt based on any logic is it? Japan turns out some
outstanding instruments. When The Fender fuc%s first went to Japan to
check out operations there they started crying when they saw the high
degree of quality in the instruments the Japanese were producing. The
American plant couldnt compare then and still cant as far as I know?
Theres a whole truck load of dipshits around here who think their
American ( made in Mexico assembled here by Mexicans) Fenders are of
superior quality and worth the extra money they paid for them. Theres
not one Fender amp or guitar thats made in America . Made in America
means just that. Not made elsewhere and assembled here.Hell they're not
even Fenders to begin with. They might as well have Ronko on the
headstock.( as in pocket fisherman ) The Fenders are no more of a
Fender than the Fender knock offs that some people like putting down
so much. Fuckers refuse to acknowlege that fact

for the links. But I have to say I'm attached to the Spartan
look of the Studio. and only the white one. There's something about white
guitars that gets me fired up. I wonder if Epiphone would tell me how many
white Elitist Studios were made?

I also bought an Elitist LP standard (in ebony) at a blow-out price from
MF. I had them deliver two guitars. One of them was damaged (as I
anticipated) and I kept the other.

Now I am thinking that maybe I should get a Elitist Byrdland. a Broadway
or even a 335 before they do away with the line.

Maybe the combination of the sinking dollar and rebounding Japanese is
making it harder to hit the price point they originally intended.

The Elites have gotten more expensive and for some of the models you
really do have to ask yourself why you aren't getting a Gibson.

Perhaps they will transfer the line to China or add some electric guitars
to their chinese Masterbilt series.

On the other hand. my instincts tell me that the Elites have had more
uniform quality control than Gibsons and the ones for sale on eBay might
be in better condition than the Gibsons for sale.

Someone probably wants to sell their Elitist because they are tired of
explaining to everyone that it is actually a great guitar and they aren't
too cheap to show up with a Gibson for the gig.

On the other hand someone probably wants to sell their Gibson because
they bought a lemon crate or the neck developed a twist or something.
