I am toying with the idea of building a FrankenStrat to
suite me a bit better. Looking at bodies is it worth buying an SX. Stagg
or Monterey etc for its body?
Seems to be a damn site cheaper than buying a Warmoth one. Is there any
real difference in the type of wood used in these bodies? They all
advertise as solid Alder bodies.



If you dont want to pay for a warmoth at least go with mighty mite... but
body only. I heard bad things about their necks. You do have to drill most
holes yourself though. Also there is not a whole lot of choice in terms of
finish. and the finish is like a 2mm thick poly!


or just plug the holes (or leave them there and just drill for 2 point trem
using the 6 holes as a guide)... then redrill.
